according to China's national standard GB8624-97, the combustion performance of construction materials can be divided into several grades grade A: Incombustible building material: Almost no burning material. Class B1: nonflammable building material: nonflammable material has a good flame resistance effect. when it meet the open fire in the air or burnd at high temperature, it is difficult to spread quickly, and when the fire source is removed, the combustion stop immediately. Class B2: flammable building material: flammable material has a good flame resistance effect. when it meets open fire in the air or at high temperature, it will immediately burst into flames and easily cause fire spread, such as wooden column, timber roof truss, timber beam, and wooden stairs,ect.. Q:What is streaming fireproof material?
Streaming fireproof material is castable refractory that can flow and degas without virbration, which is suitable for thin-wall or places that cannot be molded by vibration because of complex shapes. Well, appropriate amount of water is necessary for it. Its characteristic goes that it can be cast into various shapes of construction body without virbration and it will not reduce or not significantly reduce the performance of castable at the same time.
Q:Are there any differences between insulation and refractory materials ?
I will explain to you in a simple way. Refractory materials can resist more than 1200 degrees, some of which are not insulation materials, such as firebricks, which can directly contact with heat source, has little insulation effect. Ceramic fiber, high silica, etc. are all refractory materials which can insulate. Insulation materials with poor performance usually is lower than 800 degrees, which have large thermal resistance, and low thermal conductivity, high porosity. Thus they reduce the thermal loss. To put it simply, insulation materials store most of the heat and only let a small part of heat lose through the air, thus the heat has been isolated. Glass fiber, rock wool, flexible material for thermal insulation, etc. I hope you can understand it.
Q:Is it necessary for the frame of glass fireproof door to be crammed with fire-proof material?
Fire resistance steel door——means that use a cold rolled steel sheet as door frame, door plank and framework, and stuff a door leaf with incombustible material.
Q:What refractories are resistant to fluorine gas?
It is recommended to use fused-quartz brick, which will produce hydrofluoric acid fluorine (an acidic gas) when water vapors. It is cheap. While it is recommended to use silica brick if it exceeds 1,200 degrees. So acidic refractory is an advisable refractory for using. It works well if the temperature is below 1200 degrees.
