If you can spin the fan motor blower and it spins freely. I suspect that the start capacitor had failed. It the silver thing on the side of the blower housing with the two wires in it. You have to take it out and get the numbers off the side of it. MFD rating and Volts. Take it to any place that sells electric stuff. Not lowes. Or order one online. Its a cheap part. And it not rocket science to change out. Make sure power is off when working ; Its does not matter what wire goes on what terminal on the new capacitor. That where I would start. You have to remove the furnace cover to gain access to the part.

The motor then switches the power to the magnet that's next around the case, the rotor continues to turn to try get the magnets to line-up. It's a bit more complex then that, but that should give you the general idea.
