Q:Hey,I left my PS3 in the living room, and I think the dog peed up it. Stupid place to leave it, I know. Ive never come across this before. Maybe its because i don't no anyone who has a dog which has peed up there PS3. I would suggest you dont get a other cable because that one might break aswell due to water getting in your ps3. If i was you i would contact Playstation or the store you got it from for more advice. Hi There, Both ports need to be connected for power for the card and if that is the case then two feeds from the power supply would need to be used. This would be because one power feed with the Y connector probably would have too much load on the one single feed and it would overheat and could cause a big problem. To be absolutely sure you should refer to the instruction manual for exactly what is needed. If still unsure a call to the manufacturer should sort things out. By the way this video card requires a 450 watt (or larger) power supply to operate properly. I would buy a proper power supply for this powerfull video card. This card needs 400 watts if overclocked so I would go for a power supply of about 600 watts (or larger) with feeds for each power adapter for the video card. Hope this helps, Al

This type of power supply is unusual though. in most situations the power supply fan does not act as a cooling system for the case. (and therefore does not act as a case fan). If you replace your power supply fan be VERY CAREFUL as they are extremely dangerous to work on because they deal with direct current from your power socket. The fans inside the PSU are attached by 4 screws to the metal enclosure. usually they are attached to the circuit board by a plug. I have teken a few to pieces and hevent seen one which requires soldering. That may be the case with some models though. USE EXTREME CARE if replacing a power supply fan!!!! Replacement power supplies are very cheap and can be picked up for about $25. If its the PSU fan, it may be simpler to just replace the unit (a new fan is by itself about $10) So for about $15 you can have a whole new unit with no risks to your machine or to your health :o)
