Q:I wanna know from the people who know about lifting what reverse grip targets more off. People have told me triceps but I know that is if you have a close grip of about 12 inches. But what about wide grip reverse bench press. Does it target more triceps or chest? Also what are the pros and cons between the two grips? Thank u so much for ur time.
if you put your hands really close together, then you work your inner pecs the further you go out you work more triceps, and in the middle is a little bit of both

hmm well press confrences vary in time..i've been to one that was only about an hour and a half..but then there's been some that have last 2 hours..if i were you i would go anyways just to be safe because it might still be going on when you get there.. Have a good time. STARRED
Q:i was thinking about when i first started working out in my shead with weights i remember i could only bench press about 65lbs and i was 13 now im almost 16 and i can benchpress 120 10x but at one time i could bench press 140 but i quit working out for a while and i practicly restarted from benching like 90, sooo tell me., how old were you when u started working out how much could u bench? and how much can u bench now? and how old are you?
Well, I started at 13 as well, benching the bar, at 45 pounds. Haha. I'm 26 now, and bench around 300-350 depending on the day. Takes a lot of hard work and patience, but you'll get there.

Shoulder press could be bad for you're shoulders if you do a lot of them. If you do the in front not will happen because it's mainly a back workout

You'd have to press a weight against your nose and strap it around your head for a long time and then stretch your nostrils sideways to make your nose look wide. If you give in to your fear you'll start believing it. If it's really getting wider it's because it's naturally wide, not because your envious brother is pressing it. Punch his nose in if he keeps doing it. If you want, take a photo of your face every week for a few weeks and compare.
Q:Im English and everywhere i look in the English language says press up, so is there any differance to bench press and press up? Thanks for your help.
Different languages can get semantically confusing. A press up means many things to different people. For some, it is a variation of the bench press, for others its a push-up, and others again a form of shoulder press. To perform a bench press lie on a flat or slight incline bench. Using barbell or dumbbells, pull abs in tight and flatten lower back to the bench. Start with bar/weights directly over chest, elbows at 90 degree angles. Press arms straight without locking, then lower back to starting position. Repeat for 1 to 3 sets of 8-12 repetitions, with a 30-45 second rest between sets. Use enough weight/resistance that you can ONLY complete the desired number of repetitions. If you are new to lifting it might be a good idea to use a friend to spot you. This exercise works the primarily chest, then arms and shoulders.Hope this helps!! Anthony

stop benching all together for a month. focus on building your back and shoulder strength. then come back to the bench and hit it only 1-2 times a week. that worked great for me when I was in high school and I plateaud

NO it doesnt stunt your growth your not too young i get tired of hearing this freaking myth i have been lifting weights since i was 12 im currently 5'11 and 170 pounds. Now when someone is asking what is good most say your body weight but i consider that above average or really irrelevant because someone could be heavy and not strong but for a 14 year old that is below average but im around strong people and i am one myself all the time if you work on it you should get stronger and stronger and just keep up the good work let me tell you that not to be rude but without any weight lifting when i started at 12 i could bench press 95 pounds
Q:I recently started lifting heavier with much lower reps and hit the 400 pound bench press. I am looking to try for the 450 mark. I was curious as to what kind of Routines and styles people use/used that helped them reach goals. I am currently 5'8 and very lean at about 185lbs give or take about 5lbs. Eating is the hardest task for me because I lack a big appetite, however I try to eat 3 solid meals a day with a snack or 2 in between. Mainly Chicken and Rice. I am curious about length of workouts/exercises/routines/rep ranges/supplements. I use some cheap generic protein to cut down on costs along with Jack3d for my pre workout drink.
dude i think you're good to go. 400 is high enough. do something else with your life.
