Q:Why solar panels are expensive?
Believe it or not, solar panels are so expensive in this country because of government subsides. Without market competition, companies have no obligation to compete with each other on price. If our government would stop paying people to buy solar panels and giving solar panel companies tax breaks, companies would be forced to lower their price and raise their quality in order to get you to buy their product. This would be true of oil/gas, corn, soy beans and a number of other companies and products as well.
Q:Solar panels with snow?
In heavy snow areas, snow can build up on panels. If you mount on your roof as most people do, the angle of the panels will help the snow to slide off. Some people encourage the snow to slough off with a very long-handled squeegee or stick. You will see a drastic power reduction when the panels are covered with snow, even if it's just a few of them. However, the panels are made to take snow load, they won't be damaged. Generally, they are also designed to resist hail up to a certain size, if that's an issue where you live. I'd suggest looking in the phone book or on the internet for a local solar installer, and asking them for references close to you. You can then contact the people there and ask how it's working out for them. Also try searching for an answer on the link below. It's a solar discussion forum with very knowledgeable people.
Q:Single crystal solar panels and polycrystalline solar panels
monocrystalline silicon market share and a slight increase, and now the market to see the majority of single-crystal silicon cells. Monocrystalline silicon solar cell silicon crystal is very perfect, its optical, electrical and mechanical properties are very uniform, the color of the battery is mostly black or dark, especially for small pieces of small pieces of consumer products.
Q:Mitsubishi Solar Panels For Home Installation: How Much Do The Panels Cost?
Mitsubishi solar panels are sold in pairs. I was in the market this week, checking on solar panels to install in my own house / workshop. Here's the price list I got from online and wholesale dealers for a pair of Mitsubishi panels: * Model MF20EC4 (20 watts) -- $590 * Model MF25UE5N (25 watts) -- $60 * Model MF75MF5 (75 watts) -- $799 * Model MF80UD4 (80 watts) -- $820 * Model MF85UD5 (85 watts) -- $850 BP Solar, PowerUp Solar GE Solar too have their own panels with a low-to-high price range. Go for BP solar panels as they're more affordable for home installation and good value for money.
Q:Electricity question about solar panels?
the panel would have to be on for 0 hours in the sun to get an hours use with the set up. try researching solar hot water heaters. they are much more efficient. a cheap one would be painting an old hot water heater black and pipe it to the new hot water heater. it will save you 80% of your electric hot water bill.
Q:How to Compare Solar Panels?
Each okorder.com may help you
Q:Has anyone had roof problems caused by rooftop solar panels?
Rooftop solar panels might cause all sorts of maintenance or poor installation problems but I rather doubt at this point if we can say that there is an issue with solar panels in general that will cause a problem with the roof. Rather solar panels tend to shade a roof on its most exposed side. Without solar panels southern facing roofs will wear out faster than northern facing roofs. Installed solar panels will tend to make the roof last longer.
Q:Have a question about mobile homes and solar panels!!!?
My guess is that you will pick up everything concerning solar power at www.okorder.com.
Q:do solar panels have to be in direct sunlight?
PV panels do not have to be in direct sunlight. If they are behind glass they need to be well ventilated to remove excess heat. If PV cells connected in series are not uniformly illuminated the series will produce an amount of power that is based on the light on the least illuminated cell. Thus moving a panel back from a window will mean that for large parts of the day it will produce almost no power as parts of the panel are shaded. This applies only when the cells are connected in series. In parallel they suffer no special degradation of production, but just the sum of illuminated cells. This makes a difference when you decide to use a higher voltage panel... high voltage panels are more susceptible to partial shading. But connecting low voltage panels in series gives that same degradation. Stay away from placing a panel back away from the window, or close to the edges of the window, under roof overhangs, trees and surrounding building shade, where possible.
Q:How much electrical energy is generated from one acre of solar panels?
There okorder.com/ Why pay thousands of dollars for solar energy ($27,000 average cost) when you can build your own solar panel system for just a fraction of the retail cost. You can build a single solar panel or you can build an entire array of panels to power your whole house. Some people are saving 50% on their power bill, some people are reducing their bill to nothing. But what’s most impressive is that just by following these instructions some are even making the power company pay them!
