- Q:does anyone know a website that has like a chart with pictures of the different power supply connectors and where in the desktop computer they go all I know is the 24 pin goes to the motherboard and the 6 pin goes to my graphics card
- Its on your motherboard factory web site. usually there is a 4 or 8 pin for the mobo PCI bridge, sata, pata, power connectors for drives. smaller for floppy, blue wire for PSU fan speed report. just find out what FORM you need, most are ATX.
- Q:I bought a power wire off a dealer and in order to connect it to the battery I don't have the little fuse box at the end like most people have. Is this necessary for installation? Cause my friend said it might cause a fire..im no expert?
- The fuse isnt mandatory but its a good thing to have if your drawing alot of power then you will need it ive blown like 4 then i upgraded no more blown fuses but ya you should get one
- Q:My amp was working this morning. On my way home, the power cable came out somehow. I put it back in and it wasn't powering on. The amp fuses were blown, I replaced them. Then I went to hook the battery terminal back and the fuse in my power cable blew instantly. I replaced it and tried again and it blew again. Also the fuses in the amp are fine now. I did the same process when I installed my amp the first time and it was fine so I don't know why it's doing this now. The amp is a Boston Acoustics 800w RMS amp and an 80a fuse. Any ideas?

- yes you will have 12V each side, why?..because of the Kirchhoff's Loop Rule.. delta V = 0 for any path in a circuit that starts and ends at the same point. google the Kirchhoff's Loop Rule for more detail
- Q:I don't want to run it under the car, but I can't find a place to run it through the firewall... Do I need to drill a hole?
- I think you need to look at what ever is going through the fire wall first. often you will find things like speedo cables and other cables that go through it using a grommet, if they is a 8mm plus one used you could puch your power cable through the same grommet, this will save the drilling but if you do have to drill use a grommet to seal the hole, it costs only cents.
- Q:I got a XFX radeon 5750 graphics card and after a lot of trouble I realized that I hadn't plugged in the 6 pin PCIe power cable, but I don't see any slots on my power supply, does anyone know how to fix this problem? I really don't wanna buy another power supply :(

- Controllers, yes, you just need a special adapter. Power cable, absolutely not, since the PS3 Fat uses a 3-prong power cable like what computers use and the PS2 uses a completely different kind with only 2.
- Q:If i bought a graphics card with a power cord, cable, plug thingy, will it matter how much power my desktop can produce? Because i know some graphics card use quite abit of power and my desktop is old and does very little power.. So yeah.
- With a power cord, cable, plug thingy? I've never seen such a setup, and I thought I knew a bit about computers. I know I've seen old (mid 2000s) articles about something like that, but it never got market traction as far as I'm aware. I'd say that you would have to replace your power supply - but I guess a separate power supply should be another solution as well - though it might actually be cheaper to replace the power supply rather than having a separate power supply for your GPU. Also, your motherboard doesn't necessarily support the newest GPUs at any rate, so... yeah.
