- Q:If I put pressure on the cord I have power but its almost impossable to work. A local computer repair said I have to replace the mother board. Can't the plug in the back be replaced? Thanks!
- try another power lead, check all your connections, having failed that buy another power supply, work with cheapest options 1st
- Q:In the middle of the page there is a section called Connectors, i suppose those are the cables attatched to the PSU, but in total there are 17 cables so maybe i am wrong???It says that there are 6 SATA Cables that look like SATA Power Cables and are i guess haha.I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes, the PSU does have 6 SATA Power Cables attatched to it, but i mean when spending $750 on a gaming computer i wanna be sure lol.
- SATA Power Connector: 6 - YES it does have. If your spending $750 on a computer i'd suggest you get a branded power supply, they last longer and will supply your video card with enough juice to get the job done. what kind of video card are you getting? depending on what card your getting 500 watts may or may not be enough, as the new nvidia cards are very juicy :)
- Q:lost my original 7A cable and the uk wire is 2.5A
- The PS3 Slim's power supply is rated at 250W which works out to be just under 2.5A @ 110v. Since the PS3 only draws around 100W it should be OK. If you were using an Older PS3 then it would require more power and would not be safe with a 2.5A cable. Since a new cable wouldn't cost much you should probably invest in a better one anyway.
- Q:It wont do any damage will it?
- Don't do that!! It will kill your video card almost instantly. The 8 pin connector is meant for the motherboard (on most computers) so the 8 pin power cable will output a lot more power than the 6 pin. Your graphics card will be cooked if you do that. Too much voltage will kill your card immediately. Plus how is a 8 pin connector supposed to fit into a 6 pin port? I would be quite surprised if it can actually fit. Go and purchase a power supply with a 6 pin connector, it's for the good of your computer.
- Q:What is the distance between the power cable and the thermal pipe when it is laid above the thermal pipe?
- Cable and 10kV power line parallel laying the minimum distance of 0.5 meters.
- Q:I need to replace the power cable for my HF M300, but I'm having trouble finding the proper one. Can somebody tell me what it is I need (preferrably at OKorder)? Thanks!
- The power adapter that came in the box is Canon's CA-570. Search for that at OKorder.
- Q:I lost the Power cord for my PS2 Slim and I am wondering if I can use the PSP Power/Recharge Cable while I wait for the replacement to arrive in the mail?
- No you can't, the PSP AC adapter has a lower volt ammount then the one required to power a PS2 So your going to have to play your PSP while you wait for the replacement PS2 cord to come to come
- Q:I need a 3.5mm 5V DC power cable with a USB input. I do not want to order one online. What store would sell this? I already went to Best Buy and Radioshack.
- Sorry okorder / You will be fine and wont be scammed. OKorder is a possibility but its a tad sketchy but its easy to use and not get again scammed but its your choice ofc i don't know the situation your in. im just guessing your worried about ordering online due to scamm websites, it could be that you simply don't have a card that can shop online (or even a card). Also delivery should be fairly quick (most being a week) so you won't be waiting too long either way. Turtle beach is based online, and distribute mainly from their website,(such is most designer accessories) the only reason they have their products in stores are because of their success online, and were able to expand but even then they only ever sell a few of their headsets in stores never their full range, then expecting parts is very rare. p.s i realise its a generic piece of equipment but its quite specific and there are very few things that use somthing that you've specified (not the sized and volt just a DC power cable that has a USB input) , that includes headsets, seriously most headsets don't require a power cable (and it having a power cable doesn't make it good) Hope this helps :S
- Q:i disconnected the power cable to the hard disk and tried to boot, but it booted (through ubuntu live cd). What might be the cause for this problem?I need ur help
- Does your Seagate hard drive have an OS installed? INstalling a new hard drive includes loading the OS as well. Otherwise, you have an empty file cabinet. Good Luck
- Q:Hi,1) Is spinning down of hard disk same as removing the power cable of the hard disk ? 2) Will the IDE cable connected carry power to the hard disk when the power cable is removed ?3) How do we spin down the hard disk manually ?
- 1) When you unplug the power cable, it spins down, because there is no power. In order to read data from the hard disk it needs to be spinning. When it is not spinning, you cannot read data from it. Some power saving systems will allow you set the hard drives to spin down after a long time that it has not been used, to conserve power. After that, to read from the disk it needs to be spun up, and that takes a few seconds. 2)No. 3) You cannot manually spin a hard disk, it spins at 7200 (some models 5400) rpm. That's VERY fast.
