Q:Why do I keep vacuuming up MY CARPET?!?!?!?
The carpet should not be doing this. It's normal to have a few fibres come off when it is new, but I think you have either a poor quality or defective carpet and should contact the people who sold it to you. If they are reputable they'll do something about it. You could also contact the manufacturer and ask them why their carpet is repeatedly shedding every time you vacuum.. Good luck!
Q:Average rate on carpet removal?
If you do it yourself, you will save the labour charges. To remove wall to wall carpet, you need to have a good carpet knife; a good HD vacuum, and a smooth edge nail puller. Simply pull off the carpet from the smooth edge strips, then remove the strips with a nail puller. You may want to sand the floor where the nail strips were, but use steel wool and you won't have as much work for the refinish. OR call up a carpet removal/installer for his quote for the job.
Q:Can laundry detergent be used to clean the carpet
It seems that there is special cleanser to clean carpet.
Q:What shape of rug should i use?
I okorder.com/
Q:I have a Turkish rug to sell.?
I went on one turkish site price and that brand of rug (couldn't find your code) at the size you specified went for over 19,000 euros. Since your looking at a very expensive rug if it is in excellent condition, I think that an appraiser would come to your house and give you a fair price. Just remember that he/she will be giving you the price that they would buy it from you. Or tell them you are looking for a price to insure it at (which will be about 15-20 percent higher than you could sell it for).
Q:Horse keeps spooking at rugs?
Silly horses. I don't have too much advice about desensitizing, I haven't had to deal with that a lot, but I do have a great way to take it on and off! Undo all the clasps, and then starting in the back, fold it half way up his back. Then take the front and fold it until it meets the folded back part. Then you will just have a strip of blanket on his back that you can remove without a lot of noise and fuss. Keep it in that same shape to put it back on. Unfold the front and then the back, then do all the clasps. I take off blankets and put them on this way on all horses I deal with and its really fast and effective. It's also a great method if the horse is really tall.
Q:Wood-Floors or Carpet?
I prefer wood over carpet everywhere. It's so much easier to maintain and you can choose great room size or throw rugs to change your decor when you want. Carpets are high maintenance and require constant vacuuming and steam cleaning. Hardwoods are easy to Swiffer for dust and clean with OrangeGlo hardwood polish and cleaner. Hardwoods are elegant also. I would opt for the hardwoods.
Q:How many rugs do you have at home?
0 but would like to have one in my bedroom, like place diagonally, half under my bed's leg
Q:Cleaning Reptile Carpet?
Yes, you can wash it I'm not sure what detergent you can use however. What I do is I see if there is any feces (i trained my dragons to poop on the newspaper), and if there is, I pick it off and throw it away. Next I scrub it really good with a wet sponge, scrub every side of it. Then I re-check it, go over it again, but if it is completely soiled with waste I have a spare carpet (most people like myself have two). A scrub brush may be needed to clean the poop and such. If you see any loops, make sure to cut them off, this can result badly. If you have the carpet with loops I'd suggest getting rid of it, but Zilla is a trusted brand if I'm correct. I hand wash it with soap and water. Just a suggestion, I think it's easier because I don't really trust the washer machine -_- as the other person said, let it air dry. My beardies rest on my shoulder on the couch and watch TV with me as their carpet dries :D
Q:carpet wrinkles?
As carpet gets old, people drag their feet over the carpet, move furniture, etc. and the fabric of the carpet just gets stretched out. If it's not stained, for relatively little cost you can have someone come in an restretch it using a kicker to reinstall. However if the carpet is too old or stained, you may want to consider replacing it.
