Q:i just got a new motherboard but after reading throuhg the manual i coudnt get any instructions on which cable goes which way. pls i need some one to help me. all other connections are okay i suppose but afraid to just connect the power, and the reset button cable any how.
With most motherboards there is only one way to attach the power cable to the board, otherwise it just wont fit. I believe there is a little notch on the cable which should line up with the notch on the board
Q:I have nine month old twins and they are starting to crawl and touch everything and I dont want them to get hurt. How can I hide all these loose cables. (modem, phone lines, power surges, chargers, camera cables, etc)
You need a rubber cable duct, or cable trestle. The are sold by office supply places everywhere. They're usually made of rubber and the profile (end view) is that of a triangle or truncated pyramid. They usually come in lengths up to twelve feet. They're made to lie as flat as can be on the floor, but the higher profile models (when you need many cables hidden) don't quite allow casters to roll over them, and may present a tripping hazard. If you can run cables along a wall, try a cable raceway. Some models look like larger base molding, and are fairly unobtrusive.
Q:The power supply I have has 8 Peripheral cables. I need just a few more than that. Is there a cable splitter I can get? Or what can I do? I have the power, just need the extra connectors.
Yeah, okorder /
Q:I'm getting a new graphics card and my PC does not have the 6 pin power adapter already installed so i will have to buy the wire myself and connect it to the power supply.Only problem is i don't really have any clue on how to do so and can't find anything anywhere on how to do it.That's pretty much it and thanks in advance.

Q:Like I lost my power cable, so can I get one somewhere?
most amps use the same cable, so it shouldn't be a problem, through your amp in a car, (to double check) and check the local music stores, electronics shops, or Radio shacks
Q:Hey guys I have a compaq sr5550f desktop the power light under the cable is flicking green but the computer will not turn on or off yesterday it was fine but unable to connect to the monitor I have saying no signal? whats up with it it was fine two days ago I unplugged all cables and let it rest and still the same result even if i unplug all the cables it still flickers green the dies off then if i plug it back it does it again help?
hi: All solutions above talking approximately battery backup are almost comparable, yet with differing terminology. the object you choose is definitely referred to as an Uninterruptible potential furnish. APC is a sturdy sort. I even have 2. to boot to protecting the laptop from potential outage, they help shelter against potential line spikes. besides the shown fact that, they do no longer often final for hours, in ordinary terms a jiffy (10 to 30, counting on load). A united statesthat keeps your laptop on for a pair of hours could value you over a $one thousand money (US). an excellent one which will artwork for a jiffy, offering you with lots of time to shutdown if the potential is off for a whilst, will run decrease than $one hundred. i've got seen them for extra or less $40. There ought to be some much extra decrease priced. a extra effective plug strip isn't the respond. you are going to be making use of a united stateswith a pc besides... Too undesirable they are no longer purely offered with them! LOL Cheers!
Q:At the end of every work day I shut it down in the normal way (through the Start Menu) and then every morning I return to it and it won't turn on no matter how many times I press the on button or if I hold it down. The only way I can get the computer to turn back on is to remove the power cable for 10 minutes and then put it back in and hold the on button for about 10 seconds. This is a bit of a pain but also quite worrying as the computer is new.I wonder if my computer is broken or if this is an intentional feature. If so how do I turn it off?It might help to know that even when I have shut it down there is an LED on the back that stays on. In fact it stays on for 5 minutes even if I take the power cable out!I have a Dell Vostro 260S PC. It runs Windows 7 64-bit and the processor is an Intel i3Please help techies.
It really sounds like a hardware problem, you shouldn't have to unplug from the power supply and plug it back in after ten minutes to get the pc to power on, swap out the power supply and the power cable that hooks to it , also make sure the power cable 24pin cable is in the motherboad good and tight and the option cable 4-8 pin is hook to the motherboard a connector above the cpu if the motherboard has one.
Q:why use of black color for electrical Power cables ?

Q:hey guys, i recently bought a new desktop computer however when i unpacked it and put it all together i discovered that i had not received a power cable for the tower. i discovered an old one in the mess that is my bottom drawer and was wandering does it matter what power cable is used for the tower? or are there different power cables for different PSU's?
If the PSU is 800 watts or less, it likely doesn't matter. Look at the power cable and make sure it doesn't look particularly thin or flimsy. Most power cables are rated for 6A or more, which should be good for over 700 watts. Even most computers with 800 watt power supplies or more don't actually draw over 600 watts. I have seen power cables intended for laptops or monitors that were only rated for 2A. That's only good to 250watts, and a large desktop could easily draw more than that.
Q:You have not connected the power cable to your video card. Please refer to the 'C settings started guide' for proper hardware installation.
