Q:Solar Panels in the 200 Toyota Prius?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Solar Panels in the 200 Toyota Prius? Why does the new 200 Toyota Prius have solar panels at the top of the vehicle?
Q:What Size Solar Panel Would I Need?
I know that in Texas we wouldn't even try to run an air-conditioner on a generator without at least a 6,000 watt generator and we would prefer a 0,000 watt generator. The calculator on the Kohler website says it'll be 7,500 watts. At $5 per watt to install a solar photovoltaic system and assuming you also need to run it through the night and taking into account that an inverter can be as bad as 60% efficient, you're talking about $87,500 just to run your AC for 25 years. The first step in going solar is to significantly reduce your energy use. You're not going to maintain your current energy use on solar, at least not cost effectively. If you did want to run an AC on solar power, you may want to look at absorption air conditioning and use evacuated tube solar thermal collectors instead but don't expect it to be cheap and it usually only augments the use of natural gas in the absorption chiller.
Q:Solar Panel and Wind Power?
Insolation, okorder.com okorder.com/... that are 420x420x25 mm so each unit is about .764 m3. If you used these to cover 500 sq ft then you would need (46.45/.764=) 263 of these panels at a cost of ($09.95 x 263=) about $28,953 plus wiring, plus brackets, plus an inverter, plus batteries, plus a battery management system and any labor or your time. Best of luck with it.
Q:Silicon, Polychristaline, or Solar Panel?
Some steps in making semiconductors use gases at very high temps, and solar cells might.
Q:I need a lightweight form fitting solar panel with the best power potential?
Q:Are solar panels worth it?
I say yes, I had a system put in a few months ago. I paid $6K and my utility paid $0K. I should break even in about 6 years. The system is guaranteed for 25 years, so I will have at least 9 years of free energy. I went from a bill of around $200 per month to under $20 in the summer. I will pay a little more in the winter months because less daylight, but I don't use as much energy in the winter. Each year electricity goes up an average of 5%, so while my neighbors have a larger bill each month, I'll be staying under $50 for a long time. Even without the rebate I would have a break even time of about 0 years, still 5 years of free energy.
Q:What are the main components of a solar panel?
The basic components in home solar heating systems include: Collectors to take the heat from the sun and pass it to a fluid The heat transfer fluid which takes the heat from the collector for use or storage Heat exchangers to transfer the heat from the fluid to a home’s domestic water. Pumps to move the fluid through the collector and/or the exchanger, and sometimes to move the domestic water through the other side of the exchanger. Controllers to run the pumps when there is collector heat available.
Q:where to face solar panels?
On a sunny day about noon, hold up a stick move it until there is no shadow...that is the perfect direction to point the panel...but yes...south is the simple answer
Q:how can i charge a 2 volt car battery(lead-acid)with a solar panel?
Q:Where can I get free solar panels?
I did the same thing recently, if you'd really like some free ones then you need to look for those little solar powered lamps that people put in their yards, theyre about 0 inches tall and people sometimes line the paths through their yard with them. Maybe you can find a neighbor who doesn't want theirs anymore, or you could check local dumps for them. They each have a solar panel in the top, and they can be linked together to make more power. Alternatively, you can look on OKorder for a pack of broken solar cells, which still work fine but don't put out quite as much power as they did when they were new. However, they are very cheap. Hope this helps.
