Which can start the diesel generator when the main power is off; when the main power comes back, it will shut down generator.
2. MCCB (Molded case circuit breaker);
It can protect the loading machine and the diesel generator.
3. Battery charger(float charger);
When the generator hasn't been used for long time, the batteries will be no power, in that way, you can't start the generator. But the battery charger can charge the batteries from main power.
4. Extra daily fuel tank;
It will be requested while the base fuel tank capacity is not enough for daily fuel consumption.

If the ambient temperature is too high, it will be harmful to the diesel generator. Fan and water cooling is not enough for radiate. The water separate system is much better for cooling, and the life of generator will be much longer.
- Q:Hi. I'm thinking about getting a 15KVA Cummins generator.I want to know how many hours can I run a Diesel Generator before I have to give it a rest? How many hours do I need to rest it before I can get it started again. I live in a hot and dusty area.I have heard that Diesel engines are happier if they are just kept running and they hate being turned off and on, is that true?Any help or insight would be appreciated.Greetings from Iran
- you need to read the documentation. No such thing as a diesel that runs forever All engines need fluids checked. In generators, there is prime power and standby power. Your warranty will be different for each type. The prime units can run for very long times, but are more expensive and have oil adding systems, etc to automoatically maintain levels and things like that. The diesel engine can be shhutdown and restartted like a gas engine. The turbo and starter motor are the real reasons for not doing short starts and stops. Also, how much load/environment you put on the generator makes a difference in how long it can run too. They can run for a long time as long as they are checked and maintained.

- Q:I was talking with a friends and I know gas in a car or lawnmower etc will go bad after a certain amount of time. Then we got thinking about the massive amounts of diesel fuel in storage at hospitals etc, is there a storage life for it? and is it turned over all the time?
- Let me explain something to you: Hybrid is a drive configuration. Diesel is an energy source. You see how they're two completely different things? You can have a diesel hybrid, what do you think freight trains are? Diesel fuel has it's up sides, and a diesel electric hybrid would be even better. Why do you have such a personal dislike of hybrids? What exactly do you have against a more efficient, longer lasting drive configuration? Oh, and you talk about low end torque? Electric drive produces max torque at stall. You'll never win a torque battle with an electric, they've got it all over ICEs in that department.

- Contact several local electrical contractors in your area to get some design build estimates. The size is a small consideration rather the durable type of generator you need that can run as a quiet unit for many years is a problem. The best solution is probably 2 or 3 medium size generators that can be run in a parallel configuration. 5 units to power might be as little as 100 amps each so 500 amps at 240 volts is about a 120KW so 3 units of 40 KW each might be a consideration. Using multiple units will allow maintenance on one unit and not lose power. For prices the electrical contractor in your area will know more about what the labor rates are for this type of project. I will give AWAG that $10,000 per KW is not too far off.

- Q:As the generator is for emergency, so it stopped for long time and only run for preventive maintenance, so its not accomulate running time, what is the standard to evaluate the need for maintenance ?
- First make sure the fuel is fresh periodically. Old fuel deteriorates makes it hard it start and run. Second check the oil see if it is clean, check the oil filter too. Third check the fuel filter, change once a year if not used because of bad / old fuel. Forth Check the out put of the engine / voltage / oil pressure / amperage / operating temperature / current fuses / transfer switches are working properly. Listen and make sure the engine is running smooth, no misses. Should be good to go then.

- The two moves that Hoghead described are better known to me as the Dutch Drop and the Flying Switch. Letting a car roll like that without a locomotive attached to it is pretty sketchy, and in order for the move to work, you have to bottle the air. That's REALLY sketchy, but it's been done many, many times. Locomotives are totally capable of accelerating like that, but they'll definitely scream while they're doing it. As a general rule, you just don't want to accelerate quickly with a train. The slack needs to come out gently and what not. If the slack is tight, though, I've seen some crews open it right up. A pair of GP39-2's must have hit 20 miles an hour in just a few hundred feet. I was really impressed by that one. I've found, though, that if you don't let the units load at their own pace, you just end up spinning the wheels or screwing something else up. You can also run into problems with the motors' transitions if you throttle up too fast. Not fun!
