Q:yeah im 16 and my max shoulder press is 100. is that good? im 5'5 and 125 pounds. would someones max bench press be more or less than the shoulder press?
Your shoulder press is amazing for how old you are. Your bench press should be a lot higher then your shoulder press although it might just be that something you do in regular life is working your shoulders.
Q:I want to get my mom a panini press for her birthday and I can't decide which kind to buy?I want something that will last a long time and not super ginormous.help!
there is a wolfgang puck panini press and u can change the plates to have a waffle iron too. i think you can get it on hsn
Q:Can you get stronger by doing this, I don't have access to bench pressing.
It depends on how much weight the barbell has. If you have a lot of weight, then yes you can get a lot stronger in place of a bench press. You can do dumbbell bench pressing, which is the same as a bench press but with dumbbells.
Q:I just recently heard of the leaf pressing hobby and it sounds fun and interesting but I do not know much, so I may sound very new and stupid but I'd love it if you helped!1. How long should I press the leaves for?2. How long would they last?3. Should I hang them up or find a nice sized journal with blank pages to put them in?4. IF I hung them up, what sort of paper would I use and how?5. IF I used a nice journal, how would I attach the leaves? I think I saw someone who threaded them on, would that be an okay way to do so?I think that that's about all I have to ask, but if you have any tips and tricks let me know!Thank you!
You can press them in any heavy book that you don't mind the risk of staining. If you don't have a book like that, you can sandwich each leaf between two sheets of waxed paper.
Q:I know that they can be fined for not attending a press conference, and I read somewhere that at the Olympic Games 2012, tennis players (if not other athletes as well) will be given a fine of 20 000 dollars. What's the logic behind this? Why should someone be forced to talk to the press?
The ATP World Tour has over 1,900 players in its singles ranking list. The vast majority of them will never be approached by someone in the press, because the press only wants to glorify the lucky few who've made it to the top. The press people don't want to discourage kids by teaching them the reality that becoming a top 100 player is sort of like winning the lottery. Heaven forbid! On the other hand, if you're among the very, very blessed people who've become top-30 Commitment players, then from ATP's point of view [or WTA's point of view] you OWE them for the money and fame you've been allowed to achieve. A long time ago, there was a famous baseball manager, Connie Mack, who said this: The sporting world was created and is kept alive by the press. And so, your contract requires that you talk to the press, even if you've just been destroyed love and love by the world champion. It's unpleasant, of course, but that's part of the job. In Andre Agassi's book Open, he described a few instances in which he skipped the press conference, without regretting the fine he had to pay. I guess if you own your own business jet, you can make your own rules, at least to a certain extent.
Q:I've been wanting a bench press for a while now and 2 days ago my dad bought me one. When my mom saw it, she was being a ***** about it and told my dad to return it. I got really pissed after that because he promised me he'll get me one. I guess it's because it's big. So now I'm stuck with the barbell and 2 25 pound weights. (I'll buy more weights soon) So really can I still do bench press without the bench or do I really need a bench to do it with? What difference does it make if I bench press with or without the bench?
have you tried push ups?
Q:Bench press:Grip wider then shouldersElbows out wideTouch between nipples and neck then liftClose grip bench press:Grip inside shoulder widthElbows as close to body as possibleTouch under nipples then liftPlease correct anything
Looks like you got it. Although some people touch even with the nipples for both type of presses. Especially if you're doing it without a spotter.
Q:what is a soldier allowed to do or say when they are approach by the press and how do they refer to?
The basic guidlines have usually been that no soldier (or any military person for that matter) is allowed to discuss things with the press unless they have been given specific permission to do so. Usually, all inquiries by the press are to be directed to the authorised public affairs officer or civilian liaison officer. Most often, permission is not given unless there is a specific public affairs event happening such as soldiers being used to help in a search rescue operation with the local police, then they may be allowed to speak about how they are helping the effort. Military personnel are told to treat the press respectfully but to politely refuse to answer any questions and normally, the No comment remark is the best answer to anything they ask. Most of the time military personnel are not given permission to discuss anything with the press because the press will take any little piece of information and use it to make up a story and they aren't too bothered with telling lies to make the story better. The military obviously has a very large need for security and any little bit of info that the press gets could jeopardise that security.
Q:I just got a bench press and am new to lifting weights. What muscles does regular bench press, incline bench press, and curls work? And how often should I do each of these (every day, every other day, switch each one every day)?
Bench works the chest triceps. I suggest you get a book by Bill Pearl called Getting Stronger and he explains EVERYTHING.
Q:I am a little over 21 weeks pregnant and just recently felt the baby move on the outside of my belly pretty good...acutally starting on Friday we could feel the baby kick or move on the outside if I pressed in the area I felt the baby move. I find myself pressing down, not hard, more often trying to feel the baby move...am I doing any harm? I know this sounds like a dumb question but I am worried now because I haven't felt the baby move as much yesterday and into today and I am afraid now that someone is wrong. Help! Is it bad to press on the abdomen to feel the baby move? Can the baby be felt some days and not others at 21 weeks?
I am 20 wks and my husband has been doing the same thing for almost 2 wks. This is the only way that I have felt it. But last Friday I felt it for the first time without him doing it. I haven't heard that this causes any harm.
