Interesting question to which I can't seem to find a definitive answer here on the net. I do hope that you pick a BA and then let the rest of know why toothpaste companies made the switch. I'm assuming it was a cost saving measure. So what musical instrument are you going to buy? <g EDIT: I REMEMBER when toothpaste came in metal tubes and they never got holes in them just weird creases that made it diffcult at times to squeeze out all the toothpaste.

Q:How are toothpaste tubes made? I know that there's polyethylene coatings on aluminum, but how to they actually made the tubes this way? I know it can't be injection molding or blow molding.

why can't it be injected extrusion molding of the tubing followed by a bonding process?

omg i had this exact same thing happen to me a few weeks ago it took my boyfriend and i forever to get them off... i really dont know the best way to get them off but the way i did it was i sat there and wiggled them back and forth until they finally wiggled down far enough to get pulled off. i know this will be hard to do with a child so i hope someone on here has a better solution to this.

Try and place some seeds in them so she sees that their is no danger. And put some things from the first cage into the second one so it smells like something familiar.

Sure, just use dishwashing liquid (not the type that goes in the dishwasher - too caustic). And you can also rinse it with a weak bleach solution (a teaspoon in a gallon of water) to disinfect it, then flush it well with fresh tap water. I did exactly those steps with my neglected filter before taking it on vacation last summer and it worked fine.
