- A tube with an open ends and connected straight (at right angle) into the side of a pressure container like a pipe or a vessel is called a piezometer. Fluid will rise in the tube equivalent to the static pressure in the container. In a pipe the fluid will probably also be moving and so will have some dynamic energy. - Yes you can as long as it is all silled off tight from the air filter back MY 08 <demo camaro that i race at drag tracks ..has a custom home made system......with ram air .....my air fillters are on the roof of the car I just got some tubing ...cut a hoe in the old air box just big Enif for the houses and ran it to the roof..i did all this for about 250 but i chromed it out ......Just make sure ur olny pullin air that came threw the filter some cars will wig out if the air flow isnt just right JUST to let you know that if ur check engine light or such comes on it mayb bc of the computers pressure/vacuum readings but most of the time this does not happen example <lets just say If ur computer thinks it should be running at 2.0 but ur getting 1.0 or 3.0 the check engine light may pop on??but most likely not and just to let u know if u remove all that junkie plastic tubing and replace it with metal intake lines it will drop ur running temp ..and give u a lil better fuel mileage ..and hp I hope iv helped

- That plastic pipe is pretty sturdy stuff. And the chemical companies aren't staffed by idiots, they know lots of sinks have plastic drains. They test that stuff before they sell it. Be aware that some drain openers work by getting hot; that WILL affect those plastic pipes. The labeling will say whether the chemical opener does that. But before you go pouring money down the drain, have you tried plunging the sink? It's cheaper. For the price of a gallon of chemical opener, you can buy a decent plunger just for the sink. And unlike the chemical opener, you get to use it more than once. That's smart money. And finally, for the price of TWO gallons of chemical opener, you can buy a drain snake. And again, you get to use it more than once. Believe it or not, the drain snake is a lot less destructive to your pipes (talking about metal pipes, now) than the chemicals. Yes, you have to deal with whatever nasty gunk comes out of the pipes - not a big deal. You have to go to the bathroom on a regular basis, too, and you've probably been able to deal with that for quite some time. This isn't as bad as that. Good luck with it.
