- Q:Hi guys,I have a PB 9205 media keyboard with a few extra buttons. The keyboard works fine and the music buttons and hibernate buttons are working fine but there are four more buttons in the top left which don't work.The buttons have no affect on the computer when I press them, has this happend to anyone else and how can it be fixed?Also, is there any way I could reprogram these buttons if I got them working to perform differnt tasks?Thanks in advance!
- Get the drivers for that keyboard. I have a similar keyboard with functions that didn't work until I got the drivers installed.
- Q:I was using my keyboard then suddenly it stopped working. At first I thought it was the batteries so I changed to fresh batteries, didn't work. Next I thoguht it was the port, so i took my spare keyboard and plugged it in the same port, the port works fine. So I know it is something with the keyboard now. Does anyone have ideas that could fix it.
- You should find a button on the receiver and a small button under the keyboard. Press the one on the receiver first then the one on the KB. Ths should re-assocate them.
- Q:I want to purchase a keyboard similar to a piano but is also portable and was wondering, if I want to play piano music sheets on the keyboard, would it translate to the same keys? This is assuming I get a keyboard with 88 keys. Also, if I get a keyboard with less keys than a regular piano, would I still be able to play piano sheet music? Or would I have to translate it somehow into keyboardkeys? Last thing, anyone know a good keyboard that sounds like a piano under $500?

- Q:I spilled some coke on my macbook keyboard (:S). everything works fine, some keys are sticky; but my real issue is that the button sometimes presses without me touching it. It doesnt happen all the time, but its really irritating!! Is there anyway I can disable it for now, til I get my keyboard looked at??
- Not sure on macbooks but most laptops allow you to take off the keys on the keyboard so you can clean it. So you can try that and try cleaning it to see if it fixes it.

- Speech recognition might in certain environments, but can you imagine the noise of everyone in a large office dictating into conventional microphones? Something better than keyboards needs to come along that's for sure, after all its still basicaly the old qwerty keyboard used in typewriters since the 1880's. Maybe a tiny transmitter microphone you stick on your throat so you dont have to speak outloud?

I've heard that they aren't very durable. Great brands to look at is Roland, Casio, Yamaha and Williams. Best is to go to a music shop and ask the people to help you out. They will be able to give you the best quality for your budget. I would strongly advise you to save up another 100 bucks or more, because it's better to get something a bit more expensive, even as a beginner, and make sure that you have something that lasts.
