- Q:I need a nice bathroom vanity soon and for a fair price. Home Depot and OKorder's are so expensive for the larger size I need, 48". No luck with Craigslist. Any ideas?
- Very often a cabinet maker will be an extremely good bargain & much better quality than anything you get at Home Depot & OKorder's.You can have the design & finish you want. Look under Custom Cabinetry in your area. Most give free estimates & will also install your vanity top & plumbing, but make sure you ask.Then get a 48' Pegasus granite vanity top from Home Depot. It comes with the bowl, & is the best price I've ever seen, hands down. I've used those vanity tops dozens of times for clients without fail. And the Pegasus fixtures are also quite the bargain.
- Q:old vanity is 60 inches in length and is very outdated and has been painted Has one sink. would like to put in two 24 inch vanities with the tops which would give us two sinks.How difficult will the plumbing be to change to two sinks and two faucets....Thanks
- Easy to do. They do sell 60 inch tops with dual sinks. I would go with a new single 60-in cabinet with that. Two individual vanities would look like a last minute design change - no planning. It would be very difficult to hide the plumbing between the two cabinets, plus the seam between the tops.
- Q:If I painted my walls a neutral color like almond, should I paint my vanity the same color or should it be darker or lighter than the wall? I want the room to look larger.
- How approximately black semi gloss? Black looks great on any furnishings and it could look sturdy with the countertop too. The khaki on the cabinets would not look undesirable yet i think of it could combination in with the room greater desirable than you decide on it to. you may desire to constantly paint a door on the conceit first and notice what you think of because you have already got that colour. i would not use the wall paint for the cabinets although. you will could desire to top them first and use a minimum of a semi gloss on them. i admire the brushed nickle for the hardware theory. yet on condition which you have the silver colour for the faucets and stuff too. i admire butterfly fanatics answer too yet on condition which you incredibly choose to bypass to the hassle of stripping and marking them.
- Q:I bought a double bowl vanity top for a bathroom remodel that has the 8" widespread holes pre cut. I really wanted a single handle faucet for the sinks. My brother suggested a kitchen style faucet that covers the other holes, but I was thinking of installing a soap dispenser on one side and a lotion dispenser on the other. I dont know what it would look like and I cant seem to find any images online. So, there would be a total of 4 built in dispensers and 2 single handle faucets on a 61" vanity. Is there any interior decorators out there that could give me some guidance or visual images? Thanks!!
- Most bathroom vanities have a much smaller spread (less than 5 inches) with a hole in the center for the drain linkage. If yours has 2 holes with an 8 inch spread (like a kitchen) I think it would look great. In fact, I wouldn't think twice about it. Go for it! Sorry I couldn't find any good examples. - Q:I am installing a bathroom vanity that is on the same wall as my hot water baseboard. What is the best way to allow the heat to escape from my vanity and into the room?The vanity is 30" wide and the room is in total about 8.5 feet by 4.5 feet (floor space only, not including tub and shower)Is it OK to cover this section of the pipe with insulation? This would protect the vanity? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Shawn
- go ahead and install u vanity ,just make sure u cut a hole in the front of the new vanity and install a new grill also for the heat and air to go out into the room,is fine it works,good luck my friend

- Q:We want to install a larger vanity in our bathroom but the toilet is in the way. Would it be possible to install one on the wall next to it? The vanity would still be covering up the plumbing but I didnt know if it could be lengthened and run through the cabinet to the sink. What about if we installed a double vanity? - If I understand your explanation I think you can make this happen. You just need to choose a vanity without drawers on that side. You'll be lengthening the water supply lines and drain to be able to reach the sink and you'll have to make sure the longer drain line can run slightly downhill between the P trap and the connection at the wall. The extra length there might give you minor problems in the future if it gets even a little clogged because there is so much more pipe before the plumbing vent in the wall but it should be manageable.
- Q:Previous owners left a ton of these and using vinegar + baking soda paste and Barkeeper's Friend hasn't helped lift the stains. Is there a way to bleach them out or cover them up? The vanity is white.
