- Q:I just got a generic DCU-60 usb data cable for Sony ericsson cellphone but it has no instructions and the cable can fit either way so which way does the phone part of the cable plug in.with the 3 pins toward the top (upper part near the camera) of the connector or the other way around

- its just a usb cable, so as long as the plug's shape fits the connection port on your phone it'll usually work. i even used a motorola's usb cord on a nokia 7710 and nGage, it works just fine.

- All the mobile phones do not have this option (most of the recent ones have it, though). So make sure your mobile has this feature (one very good way of knowing is if the data cable has come with the mobile, then the phone must be capable of such transfer). Also make sure your computer has a USB port (again, all the recent ones have it) If you look at the data cable, you will find one USB socket (for the image, search USB in google images), and one socket of another shape - plug in the USB into your computer and the other end to your phone. You will be able to access the phone now as a pendrive, and copy/paste/delete data. If you want to also manage your contact lists and other details through the data cable, you will have to install a software provided by the cell phone manufacturer if at all he does that for the model you use. - Hi Pepper, You need to get Motorola Phone Tools. It's a nifty program you put on your computer and you can connect to your phone and do all kinds of neat stuff. - Q:I bought a Samsung data cable for my phone and when I look at My Computer there isn't a drive for it. It did have me install some drivers for it though. I was not given a cable WITH the phone. - Are you sure it was a data cable? Some cables are just for charging. If you plug in your cable to your laptop, then to your phone, does it just charge? Does a menu pop up saying something like Just charge MEdia?

- The short answer is you don't The most you can do (and I'm not sure why you'd want to) is power off the computer, unplug and replug the power and data cables and restart the computer.

- Q:i have a data transfer cable that accepts Xbox 360 slim HDDs to start off. I have the current update for the Xbox 360 dashboard. I connect the hard drive but the Xbox 360 only recognizes it as a 'data transfer cable' with 167gb of free storage, thats right, but won't let me access profiles, games, etc. HELP!! P.S.
