Q:Can solar panels be used in areas with high temperatures?
Yes, solar panels can be used in areas with high temperatures. In fact, solar panels are designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures, including high heat. However, it is important to note that excessive heat can slightly reduce the efficiency of solar panels. Therefore, proper installation and regular maintenance are crucial to ensure optimal performance in hot climates.
Q:I had an idea for new parabolic solar panels shaped like horseshoes. They can install them outside buildings facing the equator. They could angle them from the ground based on how many degrees latitude the location and rotate them according to seasonal changes. The disadvantage of photovoltaic panels is that they are not all capable of receiving direct sunlight. That is the quintessential reason I believe horseshoe solar panels are more effective than flat rectangular ones. One side could function in the morning; the middle could perform at midday; and the other could operate during the evening. That method seems more sensible than hourly positioning. I'm certain horseshoe panels could save and produce more electricity. A football stadium, shopping mall, or outlet center would be a fantastic place. What do you think?
Sorry to be a prophet of doom again but the fault in the system is that only a small portion of the cell is used at any time of the day, given the high cost of solar panels this is not financially viable. Why not just have a small motor to turn the panel to face the sun, that's been done and it works.
Q:Please tell me what they are made of and how the materials help the solar cell produce electricity. Im doing a science projects so i need help on knowing all this info. Its a debate, so i need correct information please.I will please need more information about the bad things about solar energy and solar panels. Please say what solar panels do to create pollution or do anything that is not friendly to the environment. If you want just give me a website. Thank you
A okorder /, or resistance—vary when light is incident upon it) which, when exposed to light, can generate and support an electric current without being attached to any external voltage source, but do require an external load for power consumption.
Q:Can solar panels be installed on a warehouse or storage facility?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a warehouse or storage facility. In fact, warehouses and storage facilities are often ideal locations for solar panel installations due to their large, flat rooftops and ample space for arrays. Installing solar panels can help these facilities reduce their electricity bills, lower their carbon footprint, and even generate additional income through various incentive programs.
Q:I'm looking at solar panels and I have NO IDEA what this stuff means. They come in catagories of Watts. What does that refer to? If a solar pannel is in the 200-watt catagory, what does that really mean? Will it produce 200 watts an hour, a day, a week, a month, a year?? How many watts of energy does the average house use up in one month? I really wish they would just tell me on the website!! :(0 points!!!!!!!! :D
Watts is a measurement of power which is a combination of Voltage x Amps Example: a 200 Watt panel can produce 6.6 amps at 2 Volts. (200 = 2 x 6.6) If you bought a 24 volt system the same 200 Watts would give you half the amount of amps since the power (watts) is the same. When determining your needs for a solar system there are many factors that have to be taken into account. The amount of power you use will depend on what appliances you have in the house, how much you use them, and how careful you are with vampire loads (A TV or stereo will use some power even when turned off unless you unplug them). The amount of panels you need will also depend on your battery system, amount of sunlight that you have in a day and how many days of reserve power you think you will need based on the weather in your area. If you wanted to completely run your house on solar energy you are looking at an investment of $5,000 - $20,000 or even more. There sometimes are tax incentive depending on where you live that will reduce your overall cost. Some examples of power usage: Toaster : 800-500W Microwave : 600-500W Dishwasher : 200-500W Washing Machine : 500W Vacuum Cleaner : 200-700W Iron : 000W Clothes dryer : 4000W Ceiling Fan : 0-50W Table Fan : 0-25W Electric Blanket : 200W Hair Blow dryer : 000W Electric Shaver : 5W Laptop Computer : 20-50W Desktop Computer : 80-50W TV (9 colour) : 70W Clock radio : W Fridge / Freezer : 500W 25 colour TV : 50W Electric Kettle : 2000W
Q:Say if i had a 2KW system is thtat just one big solar panel or does the whole system have little solarpanels together.?
A two KW system would be made up of a number of solar panels. Panels used in residential and commercial systems usually run in the range 50 watts to about 200 watts. There is a HUGE amount of information available on the internet about solar panels and all the components of solar electric systems. All you have to do is search on the internet under solar panel. It's very safe and easy. So just do it.
Q:200 watt solar panel generates how much watts of electricity per month?
I've operated a 25 kilowatt (kw) solar panel system for two years (44 panels, rated at 90 watts each, just about like yours). It averages 0 kilowatt hours (kwh) per day, but clear days get about 60 kwh. My system generates about 3300 kwh per month (we dump directly to grid), worth about $4,000 per year. Payback for my system, which cost $00,000 (after utility rebates and tax credits), is 25 years (the expected lifetime, coincidentally). Under similar conditions, your 200 watt solar panel would average 820 watt-hours per day, or about 25 kwh per month, worth $2.50.
Q:Can solar panels be installed on data centers?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on data centers. In fact, many data centers are incorporating solar power as a sustainable energy source to reduce their carbon footprint and lower energy costs. The large, flat rooftops of data centers provide ample space for solar panel installations, making it a viable option for generating clean and renewable energy for these facilities.
Q:How much space is needed to install solar panels?
The amount of space needed to install solar panels varies depending on factors such as the size of the panels, the efficiency of the system, and the energy requirements of the property. On average, a typical residential solar panel system requires about 100-400 square feet of roof space per kilowatt of installed capacity. However, it's important to consult with a solar installer to determine the specific space requirements for your property.
Q:Hi. I hate the energy company. I hate my carbon footprint. I will likely move to a piece of property and put a decent-sized mobile home on it. I want solar panels so I can get my own power. I live in the state of Wisconsin. How much would this approximately cost? Would I need certain permits? How many panels can be used? Thanks for helping!
My guess is that you will pick up everything concerning solar power at www.okorder .
