FAQ

My son is nine and some kids his age are using the cement job. Not just from the neutral positon but from top to. I need some help on ways to keep him out of it and maybe counter itif at all possible.
Every move has a different name, but judging from the description you gave me I think I know what you're talking about. To counter a cement job you have to pinch down on the arm, release it into the air, and break free. This is a hard move to counter because of the suppression on the throat, but can be done. If you are unsure what I mean by pinching the arm it's when your opponent has you in a headlock and is trying to punch through for the pin, tuck the arm he is trying to punch through with into your body. This will cause pressure, and he will be unable to run it correctly. My favorite move is the cement job =)
what cement do dentists use to stick crowns in and stuff?,is it as strong as cement (literally)?
There are many types of cement used in dentistry today. Different ones are called for different situations. Some are: Glass Ionomer, Resin Based Glass Reinforced, Polycorboxylate, Silicate and the gold standard Zinc Phosphate. There are also temporary cements as well. Every dentist has their own preference and may use 2 or 3 different types based on their likes and clinical situation. Is it as strong as cement...No! Their bond strengths are however, very strong. Usually once a crown is cemented in place, it cannot easily be removed. Often the crowns have to be cut off! They are also very water soluble, meaning that if you have a poorly made crown and saliva can leak under it, the cement may wash away and the crown will eventually fall off on its own!
I'm a student, now studying about derivatives. In type of commodity options, why do we have wheat options, oil options, gold options... why don't we have cement options? And please let me know, is there any qualification, any criteria for choosing a goods to be an underlying asset of a derivative?
Well, first off we don't exactly have wheat options, oil options, and gold options. We have wheat, oil, and gold futures options (there probably exist options on these cash commodities but they aren't exchange traded and would generallynot be available to joe investor). If you are trading options on these commodities, upon exercise of the option you receive position in a futures contract not a position inn the commodity. That means your question is really, why aren't there cement futures contracts. The answer is: a) They have thought about them in some places at various times. A couple of years ago, they tried to get one going in India but some regulatory board nixed it for reasons unknown to me. b) Cement prices are relatively stable (and low). Cement sells for $100/ton (I think) and just doesn't vary much. c) Partly because of b) there is no need to hedge cement and a commodity with very stable prices would not entice many specuators. If the price of something is currently stable, introducing a futures contract and speculation to try to maake the commodity price unstable so people will hedge it and use futures contracts would be terribly abusive to the economy. d) Cement is usually a small component of the price of any project using large amounts of cement. The big expense is usually the construction expenses surrounding the cement and moving concrete. Thus, even if cement prices were variable, the variability would only contribute to variable costs of a project in a samll way and so probably not be worth hedging. e) If CBOT or CME thought it would be successful and they could get CFTC to go along with it they would offer cement futures in a Chicago second.

It may test it on a small piece.

Purchase of the expansion of the production plant for steel, cement, building materials and other value-added tax invoices marked on the input tax, not deductible.
WHY is chemical cement less abundant in SHALE? WHY is it variable in conglomerate?
Chemical cement in shale is less abundant because shale particles are so small can normally bind the rock together without an additional bonding from a chemical cement. Chemical cement in sandstone (NOT part of your question), is much more abundant because the particle size - normally visible quartz grains - is such that the rock would disintegrate, as unconsolidated sand, if it were not present. Chemical cement in conglomerate is variable because conglomerate is variable. Is the conglomerate pebble supported or matrix supported? A pebble supported conglomerate may be bound together with a later chemical cement. A matrix supported conglomerate may be bound by the sand or clay rich matrix which will not require any later infilling cement.
Could you make Portland cement with one component only, excluding the gypsum?
Yes. I worked before in a cement plant (at Tinaan, Naga, Cebu, Philippines). I was a shift control chemist and we fed only one component to the raw grinding process which we deposited to the slurry basin and subsequently mixed it homogeneously at the right proportions before burning in the rotary kiln to produce the clinker. Then in the finish grinding operation, we added the gypsum to control the setting time of the finished product, the cement, at approximately the proportion of 97% clinker and 3% gypsum to produce Type 1 Portland Cement. We were blessed with a very good limestone quarry that approximated almost 75% of Calcium Carbonate to crush and grind and burn to clinker and then grind it to produce cement. So almost everyday, we had only a single component to produce the cement. However, we also had in our feeders aside from the limestone, the marl feeder, the silica feeder and the pyrite cinder feeder to fine tune the raw mix, and especially when we are to produce another type of cement. A good day to you.
Wet CementAs I walk past the old sidewalkMemories race through my mindThose little kids; they wrote in chalkBut we, we wrote on wet cementYou took a stick and wrote our namesWith a cute little heart in betweenA smile spread on both our facesBut that was when we were fourteenThose words on wet cementWill never fade awayThough I cannot say the sameFor each word you say?2008====please give me some feedback and maybe how i can make the poem better. thanks :)
wow! that was great! i'd give it a 7 though i dont like the ending so much maybe elongate it? other than that it was very cute!
