Is there a small solar panel system that I can put in my bedroom window and charge my phone and run an alarm clock off of? Or one I can run a microwave off of?
You can cosider this product Flexible Personal Solar Panel. I think it will be helpful. Product Review Take the lightweight, easy-to-pack Brunton Solaris 6 / 2 Solar Panels on your next expedition to the Himalayas or down that nearby trail or dirt road. Brunton used CIGS, the most efficient thin-film solar technology available, to create the Solaris. Choose either the Solaris six-watt or 2-watt panel—both of them fold up to the size of a CD wallet and work, even in overcast conditions, to charge your cell phone, digital camera, camcorder, iPod, and other small electronics. A built-in reversing diode prevents the solar panel from discharging your batteries when the sun disappears for the night. Brunton's Solaris 2-watt panel can even charge your satellite phone or trickle charge your laptop.
Does anyone know the earnings potential for the actual fitter of pv solar panels, and the electricians earnings.ty.
it depends on your solar panel, but you can sure supply most if all of your electronics and electric stuff in your house on a sunny day. If you want to know exactly how much power it supplies and how much $$ you can save you simply have to calculate how much power your home consumes per day/month. I know of people totally reliable on solar power for their home and I too will put solar panels on my home one day.
I have created a solar setup in my shed i have 2x.5w solar panels i am hoping to charge my 55ah car battery how long would it take to charge the battery and how many watts could i used a day
To charge a 2V lead acid battery, you pretty much have to put almost 24V across it and it's only 50% efficient at charging so if your solar panel does put out 3W, you can expect 3/24/2 or /6th of an amp in usable charging. Therefore, from a flat battery, it would take 55*6 or 880 hours to charge the battery. If you assume about 6 hours of usable sunlight per day, that would be 47 days not taking into consideration the normal leakage that lead acid batteries have. It's quite likely that the leakage rate will be greater than the charging rate and the battery will never charge. You'll need a bigger solar panel.
Roof shading has a significant impact on the efficiency of solar panels. When the panels are shaded, they receive less sunlight, which reduces their ability to generate electricity. Even a small amount of shading, like from nearby trees or buildings, can lead to a drop in overall panel efficiency. It is crucial to ensure the panels are installed in areas with minimal shading to maximize their performance and yield.
I live in Los Angeles area, I see the ads that, they will install solar panel for $0. I would like to know what is the catch ?Thanks You.
Sh*t is expensive. I live in FL.....to solar a 500 sq foot house here ...even with the gov rebates and the discounts..etc..etc.. sts the home owner @ $24,000 dollars. They say you will recoup your $$$ in 0 years. 0 YEARS??? The gov should get behind this and make it cheaper...but that will not happen.
I jotted down some notes for my Technology and Architecture class and I'm trying to figure out what i meant when i said 'Treated with gases at extremely high temperatures.' I have NO idea what I was talking about :) Im trying to figure out if what I am talking about is about Silicon, Polychristaline, or a Solar Cell/Panel.
Let’s start off and discuss the three main types of photovoltaic (PV) panels: Monocrystalline Solar Panels - Monocrystalline cells are cut from a block of silicon that has been grown from a single crystal. These tend to be the most efficient, but also the most expensive solar panels. They have been considered the go-to panels for the last couple decades, and also boast being the oldest and most dependable. Polycrystalline Solar Panels - Polycrystalline cells are cut from multifaceted silicon crystal. They don’t come from a single piece of silicon crystal, but rather from many different crystals. These solar panels tend to be less efficient than monocrystalline solar panels of the same size. This means a 200 Watt Monocrystalline panel will usually be smaller than a 200 Watt Polycrystalline panel. Thin Film or Amorphous Solar Panels - These panels are not made up of any crystals. They are actually a thin layer of silicon deposited on a substrate or base material like metal or glass. Thin film solar panels tend to be the least efficient per square foot, but they are also the cheapest. The best application for amorphous panels is if you have a large amount of surface area and space doesn’t matter.
i need to make a solar panel model for a project in science and i would like to know how to build a easy model at home that wont cost alot
There are different types of solar panels. Photovoltaic for electricity, and thermal for heating water, and passive for heating air. So it would help if you would say what type you are going to build. Theere are a lot of videos on you tube on how to make solar panels. use the link below.
Yes, solar panels can power an electric car. Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity, which can then be used to charge the batteries of an electric car. This allows the car to run on clean, renewable energy and reduces reliance on fossil fuels.
