I am building a robot and i do not want to use a lead acid battery, one because it is so heavy and two because i need a lot of energy in a some what small area. If you dont think the lithiums would do the job can you tell what would do a better job. Also do you know of any cheep hydrogen power stations. Thank you
My okorder
i have a compaq presario laptop and i have used it for a year the problem is the plastic in the jack of the battery pack ( usually yellow in color) burned because of over heating and this caused the jack to be so loose that sometimes you need to place something underneath the jack like a book for it to work. and recently we bought a new laptop and i tried borrowing its charger because its the same as the 1st one. after an hour or so the jack of the new battery pack also burned and the small steel rod of my computer( wherein you insert the jack ) sticked inside the jack i dont know what to do.
With a serious electrical problem like that, take it to an authorized Compaq repair center. Keep in mind that some notebook manufacters (Dell, most notably) recently had major recall on battery packs due to overheating fire hazard issues.
What is the meaning of the 7S4P combination of power battery packs?
4 and: --------- means that the string is good 7 batteries and together, (that is, the four strings of good 7 batteries were positive together, the negative together. 4 sections of capacity added).
DUE TONIGHT PLEASE HELPA 90 kg astronaut floating out in space is carrying a 1.0 kg TV camera and a 10 kg battery pack. He's drifting toward his ship but, in order to get back faster, he hurls the camera out into space (away from the space ship) at 18 m/s and then throws the battery at 11 m/s in the same direction. What's the resulting increase in his speed after each throw?speed increase after discarding camera.?speed increase after discarding battery?
The key here is to remember that momentum is conserved. Momentum is mass times velocity. Are you sure you've got the masses right, surely the TV camera is heavier than the battery pack? Since (relative to each other), neither astronaut, nor camera nor battery is moving, the total momentum can be taken to be zero. So after throwing the camera away, the total momentum should be zero m/s. That means the astronaut should have equal momentum in magnitude, but opposite in direction, to the camera. Let's take the direction the camera was thrown in to be negative. Then the momentum of the camera after it is released is (1.0 kg)(-18 m/s) -18 kg m/s. So the momentum after discarding the camera must be 18 kg m/s. Dividing by the mass of the astronaut (plus battery pack, as he's still got it at this point), which is 100 kg, gives an increase in speed of 0.18 m/s. Now we do the same thing with the battery pack. Since, relative to each other, neither are moving, we can say that the total momentum before releasing it is zero, so the total momentum after releasing it must be zero also. The momentum of the battery pack, since it is thrown in the negative direction also, is (10 kg)(-11 m/s) -110 kg m/s. Therefore the total momentum of the astronaut must increase by 110 kg m/s also, and dividing by the mass of the astronaut (90 kg) gives a speed increase of 1.22 m/s.
I have an 1st gen i-pod shuffle and I've been looking on OKorder for a new battery (which requires soldering) but they also sell battery packs. Will a battery pack rejuvenate a dead battery or is it just used for extending the life of a good battery?
challenging thing. check out using yahoo. that can assist!
How do I get a hold of them?? I need the one that you DONT charge I need the one that you put AA batteries in. BUT I went to gamestop and they told me I had to go through so much **** just to get one like I have to contact microsoft. I dont trust chargeable so I want a damn AA battery pack. WHERE CAN I GET ONE?!BTW I'm a guy.
I guess you mean batteries for a wireless controller? I just use regular AA Duracell from the newsagent, supermarket or hardware store.
Hi I have dead NiCd battery that measured 0 volts. No matter how long you put this thing in the carger, it just woudn't hold any charge? Is there any known way to resurrect this battery? Non-commercially?
I have found a way to restore NiCd batteries that seems to work even when they no longer will take any charge (battery charger light off). It is a variation of the battery in a freezer. I live in the north where winter temperatures fluctuate from -20F to 60F or higher in a day inside a car that is parked outside. So I took some NiCd batteries and put them in a plastic bag with the intention of dropping at the recycle place. I forgot about them and they sat in the car for several months. At night the temp would drop to anywhere between -20F to 0F. During the day the temp would rise inside the car due to sunshine to being 10 to 20 degrees above outside air temp. When I noticed the batteries in the spring, I decided to see if they would take a charge. The took a charge again where before the battery charger light would not even light up. It took a long to charge them up but they worked like new. You can do the same in a freezer by putting them in the freezer overnight and then taking them out in the morning. Repeat. I do not know what the minimum number of cold and warming cycles are necessary but in my case it was about 90 cycles.
hey guys i was changing my Xbox controllers batteries and i got up pull the case for my batters out and it slipped out my had and flew on the floor it broke into two pieces and it still works but it wont stay stuck together in my controller the the battery pack that is and it is not a plug and play it is just a regular battery pack you put batteries in. anyway i can make them stay together
if you have a play and charge kit just leave it plugged in without any batteries
