FAQ

as far as dimensions go, is the 12 cell battery bigger than the 6 cell or does size not matter? What is the difference- 12 cell last longer when charged up? thxI plan on buying one for my Sony laptop (PCG-3B4L) and want to make sure it fits. DC 19.5 V, 11.1 v 4400mAhBattery-VGP-BPS13/S
The capacity of a battery pack is measured in mAh so as you have mentioned a 4400 pack will last X minutes on a single charge. A battery pack of say 8800 mAh would last 2 x X minutes (approx) per single charge. The lifetime of each would be similar The physical size grows dependent on the number of cells as will the weight so more cells more capacity more weight. All cells are not created equal. A really cheap battery probably uses cheap poor quality cells, use a USA based supplier with a warranty worth the paper its written on and you should be just fine. Sony charge a lot more than these guys. Check the link for one such USA based company.
I recently bought a cylindrical battery pack from OKorder and it is apparently made in China. The English translation is bad and it doesn't say how long it takes to get a full charge. The bottom of the cylinder battery says Capacity 2600MAH IN 5V/0 5A OUT 5V/0 5A
The time required to charge any battery depends on its state of charge at the time charging begins and the applied charging current. Most batteries should be charged at no more than 10% of their Ah rating, so your battery, unless it is specifically intended to accept fast charging, should be charged at about 250 mA (1/4 amp). Thus, a full charge usually requires 10 to 16 hours, and sometimes more. According to the owner's manual, the NiMH battery for my Kenwood TH-K2AT handheld transceiver requires 12 hours to charge.
how do you remove the batteries from the rechargeable battery pack?
I'm okorder
i found a couple of package deals, some with the battery pack and some without. do you need the battery pack for the wii to work or can it work with it? also if it is an addition what does it do?
The Wii fit board uses batteries. The battery pack is for the board, you can play without it by using disposable batteries but if you play it everyday as you should you'll burn up a lot of money on batteries. I would get the battery pack. I have one and there is no telling how much money it has saved me.
i dont know what the difference is between the ac adapter and battery pack.does one of the two make battery life last longer?
the ac adapter is for when you have a plug around, and as long as you have power going into your house you can play your psp, batteries are for when you are on the go and will have limited play time
I was wondering how long these batteries would last in the new camera I was going to buy. If it doesn't have at least a 2 hour life then I wont buy it.
That's not really a question anyone can answer. When anyone, a company or otherwise tries to give battery life, the answer is always estimate, usually over estimated, and reflects optimum usage patterns etc. If you can find them, look for Sanyo AA Eneloops, which are superior, and hold their charge for a -long- time, whereas NiMH batteries lose 80% of charge after a month roughly.
I can buy a 3600mAH battery pack or a 2100mAh battery pack, which one holds a better charge?
relatively the restoration is somewhat basic. Wrap some Scotch tape around your batteries. one at a time, wrap each and each battery around with the tape thrice. the priority is that the battery %. is in simple terms slightly too great for the batteries themselves. After wrapping the batteries place them back into the %. and reconnect.
I am going to Saint John usvi in march and I am traveling with my gopro camera which I have five extra battery packs. Am I able to bring them on the place in checked or carry on???
You should check them in with your luggage. Batteries are a concern for airlines. The main thing is to pack them properly so they won't come in contact with something loose and start a fire. I'd pack them individually (you can saran-wrap them), and put the in a box so they won't be loose with other things in your luggage. It should be fine.
